HOBOS

For more than five years now, back in 2009, Deep in the heart of San Ángel, right in front of San Jacinto Square, Hobos Bar was born with the intention of being a shelter for jazz, blues and rock in México City.  For all this time, Hobos have become a natural forum where music and culture are shown every night.

The intimate atmosphere generated in Hobos recalls the places where the real “Hobos”, those wanderers who travelled across the United States used to reunite to express their frustration with the most pure blues style. With a mix of good music, a varied menu and a bar full of options and alternatives, our intention is that each and everyone of our visitors get to start a journey to that loopholes that good music always draw in our memories and which we always want to return.

Hobos is a place where we invite you to come back to find your memories, with all the great music genres that have defined our history and with those songs, those musical pieces that brings us a shelter for all the challenges we face.

Getting Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday, Jim Morrison, Bob Dylan, and a list of other great characters together in the same place is our vocation, our mission and desire. Our dream is for you to find in all of our groups and different proposals who show themselves in the stage a new way that leads you to the place where you want to be, that is our dream.

Hobos is made for and by music lovers, who also love good eating and drinking. Hobos is reinventing itself but it will not forget its roots and the things that motivated its birth.

May your hearts and ours feed with the music that will be played in here, and let this music be the one who save our souls, at least for a couple of hours.

Welcome to this shelter for the wanderers who travel looking for quenching their never ending thirst for the things that have gone but yet still remains with us. This is our homage and temple for the music that lives and travels, always seeking to heal those spirits willing to believe in the great healing power of a voice, of a chord. This is Hobos, enjoy the ride.
